My name is Miguel de Sousa Pires — born in Sweden, lived in the United Kingdom for over 25 years, and now happily based in Lagos, with the Atlantic on the doorstep and the sun where it belongs.
In 1996 I joined Apple's own UK telephone support team — the foundation on which everything that followed was built. From there I relocated to Sweden where I spearheaded an independent Apple IT support company with great success, taking it to a whole different level. Back in London I modernised a Central London Apple Dealer, became Head of IT at Robert Barnes Architects — and in 2003 founded mafiaBusiness, London's original dedicated Mac support specialist. Twenty-plus years, zero compromise, entirely Apple-focused.
Now based in Lagos — here for the expat community. British work ethic, born in Sweden, Portuguese sunshine, and full fluency in four languages means your Mac problem gets solved in your language, properly, without fuss.

År 1996 började jag på Apples brittiska telefonsupport. Jag flyttade sedan till Sverige där jag med stor framgång tog ett oberoende Apple IT-företag till en helt annan nivå. Tillbaka i London grundade jag mafiaBusiness 2003. Mer än 20 år, helhjärtat fokus på Apple.
Nu i Lagos — här för expat-gemenskapen. Brittisk arbetsmoral, född i Sverige, portugisiskt solsken.

En 1996 j'ai rejoint l'équipe de support téléphonique Apple UK. J'ai ensuite piloté avec grand succès une entreprise de support Apple en Suède. De retour à Londres, j'ai fondé mafiaBusiness en 2003. Plus de 20 ans, entièrement dédié à Apple.

Miguel embraced the Macintosh early on so has lived and worked through problem solving of every iteration. We trusted him with setting up and sorting out our business on Macs. As an aside he is interesting, fun and can talk non techy. As a former Director of Apple UK I can highly recommend him.

I've had the pleasure of working with Miguel for many years. He is always available, quick to resolve issues, and does so with a great sense of humour. Miguel has a remarkable ability to eliminate the typical frustrations associated with IT, making everything run seamlessly. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Miguel came on board to our then Production Company MADAM Films and from day one seamlessly took charge of all of our IT needs. He has always felt like part of our team. I have since moved to Move Menorca, but I have taken Miguel with me, remotely assisting my new business.

What would I have done without Miguel's help and generous guidance over these decades? Besides the efficiency and 'can do' attitude, I love his humour and his ability to find metaphors when tech talk sails above my head. When I need to be rescued from my desktop's incomprehensible behaviour, he gets straight back with a solution — even once at 11.30 pm.
